Restaurants and Bars in Briancon
Briancon has a beautiful old town with many traditional alpine restaurants to choose from.
Here are a few of our reccomended restaurants:
Cafe de la Vigne
Situated just opposite the ol town of Briancon has a great outdoor terrace in the summer and the salads and daily specials are great.
Le Panicaut
On the Rue Centrale in Briancon is a small restaurant run by a couple, and specialises in French food. It has a great choice of traditional french meat dishes and the Salade Panicaut or the steak with a marchand de vin sauce come highly recommended.
Il Cappucino
If you are looking for a great value pizza place then try the Il Cappucino restaurant also on the Rue Centrale, it has a great range of authentic italian pizza and pasta dishes.
Duo Bar
The Duo Bar and Restaurant is situated in the old town of Briancon and has a great range of 'French cooking with a twist' it has a relaxed warm jazz atmosphere and is Anglo-French run. There are some great dishes to choose from and a friendly proffesional atmosphere.

Le Centrale
On the Rue Centrale has a lot of live performances, flat screen TV's and a rock atmosphere. It has a lot of bands playing outdoors in the summer.
Le Club
On the Rue centrale has a great jazzy atmosphere and serves cocktails.
Duo
The Duo in the old town has a great vibe and a great ranges of drinks to choose from, it is a great hangout at weekends especially.
Other places in Serre Chevalier valley
The towns of Chantermerle and Villeneuve further up the valley have a more party atmosphere in the winter time if you are looking for a big night out. The Grotte is in Villeneuve and the Station in Chantermerle are great if you are looking for party style nights.

Traveling to Serre Chevalier by Plane, Train and other Methods
When planning your journey to Serre Chevalier, it can sometimes feel quite daunting due to its high mountain location. Serre Chevalier however can be very easily accessed by various methods of transport:
Flying
Serre Chevalier can be accessed from the UK through Turin (Italy) and Grenoble (France) airports. Serre Chevalier can also be accessed from Milan (Italy) airport but is located slightly further away. From each airport, trains and buses can be used to get you directly to Briancon, however we would be more than happy to provide you with transfers. Car hire is also available at all airports.

Train
The Eurostar offers a service between the UK and Paris, and the resort is connected by a direct night train travelling between Paris Austerlitz and Briancon. The daily overnight train leaves Paris at 10.30pm and arrives in Briancon at 8.37am. Alternatively, a fast TGV train also leaves from Paris and travels to Milan via Oulx, which is only 30km away from Serre Chevalier. This train only takes five and a half hours and we would be more than happy to pick you from either Oulx or Briancon train stations.
